Our Response to COVID-19

Our Response to COVID-19

A MESSAGE FROM EMPOWER HER NETWORK
_____________

Dear EHN Network,

As schools, businesses, churches, and organizations across the country close to flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases, survivors on a path to fiscal independence struggle. The women in our program do not have resources to stockpile groceries, pay for childcare, or make ends meet when hours are reduced or non-existent.

This past week, leadership rolled out an exception planning process aimed at maintaining survivor stability during this crisis. Empower Her Network Advocates throughout the nation are working with active members and alumni through Skype, phone calls, Facetime, and Zoom. If needs remain once available local and government resources are exhausted, the network steps in to provide additional pandemic support. Already we have connected survivors with emergency services for essential provisions, contributed to rent payments, and secured laptops/in-home internet access for members who relied on libraries, so that they can continue education programs that have moved online.

In deepest gratitude,
